Melissa Rycroft will be dancing with the All Star version of Dancing with the Stars, which will begin Sept. 24th. I can hardly wait and I am so excited to see Melissa again. When she first took the role of a dancer on, she had just come off of ABC’s “The Bachelor.” She had gotten engaged to Jason, Mesnick, only to find out later that he picked the wrong woman. He found that he was in love with Molly Malaney. The look on Melissa’s face was hurt, angry, and shock. She was no longer engaged. Molly and Jason did marry and seem to be very happy.
Fortunately for ABC and Dancing with the Stars, she was invited to dance as another of the celebrities had injured herself. Nancy O’dell from Access Hollywood, injured her leg. With only a few days to get ready, Melissa wowed us with her dancing. She was partnered with Tony Dovolani. She was home and looked so happy. She came in third, with Gilles Marini as second, and Shaw Johnson as first. And Melissa gets to face them again, they are all on the All Stars. And they were all on my wish list. It will be quite a competition.
How is Melissa feeling about it? In an interview with Access Hollywood she stated that she finds it a bit nerve-racking the second time around. And she feels a bit intimated but she said, “It’s going to be fun.”
She is now married to Tye Strickland, and the mother of an 18-month old. She and her husband have decided to all move to California for the entire season. They will all be together. And one of the things she will really enjoy, is that there are a number of celebrities with babies and they are all about the same age. Maybe we will have Dancing with the Toddlers
