In a recent interview with Life & Style Emily stated that she had the best time in Africa. And she had something wonderful to say about Jef:
”Jef is the most humble person ever, so he would never say all the great things he does for other people, but to be able to witness it firsthand – it definitely made me fall in love with him that much more.”
Pretty amazing words. These two really fit well together. And Jef was so proud of Emily because she just, “Jumped right in and got involved.”
Emily and Jef are now planning to take Ricki with them on their next visit, which most likely will be in Sept. If you recall People Water raises money for wells to be drilled where needed. Their partner Generosity Water does the actual drilling. And they help so many.
I think this will be a remarkable trip for Ricki and she will just love all of those children, like her mother did.
And here’s some information about their first well and Jef’s thoughts about it.
“Every 19 seconds a child dies from unsafe drinking water. Although I knew this, I never fully realized what it meant until we started our first water project.”
